In the first article cure for addiction I mentioned that there is a reason why people become addicts, and by not resolving those issues the addict will relapse again and again .Remember we are all addicts of some sort. The lock that I spoke about at the age of fifteen is based on what we fear at that stage. Everything we do in life is fear driven, we do things out of fear for the consequences that was past on to us by our parents and society. That said, doesn’t make it bad or wrong, it is what it is, and we act on it. We act on it often and we know what happens when we do things often enough, it becomes a habit. Keep on working hard every day and keeping late hours becomes a way of life, out of fear that you might be poor; the habit of working hard becomes a way of life. The balance in life is not there anymore, we start battling with our relationships, for there is no more time for relationships, at home and at work, and it all escalates out of balance or control.

That fear needs to be addressed. You will probably not deal with it or identify it for what it is, and you might need guidance. You need to address the lock, caused by the fear, and then all the escapes you used along the road to where you are now, and then start a new habit that works for you.

By understanding this you can create the reality of sobriety. The guidance I spoke of will be counseling or workshops you can attend to help you with your own truths.

Make a new way of life.

Make it up if have to.
